Stop Answering the Same Ticket Twice
Ticket Merger watches your queue, spots the duplicates, and merges them into one thread. Your agents stop tripping over each other and your customer gets one clear answer.
The duplicate you never see is the expensive one
A customer emails support. Nothing happens for an hour, so they fill in the web form too. Now there are two tickets. One goes to Priya, one goes to Sam. Both reply. The customer gets two different answers on the same day and decides your team has no idea what it is doing.
That is the visible cost. The quiet one is worse: your ticket volume is inflated, so your cost per ticket looks wrong, your CSAT is dragged down by an interaction that should never have existed, and one of those two tickets ages silently until it breaches SLA.
Most helpdesks give you a merge button. None of them tell you when to press it. That is the gap Ticket Merger fills.
How Ticket Merger works
Connect once, then it runs on its own. You keep working in Zendesk, Freshdesk or HubSpot exactly as you do today.
Connect your helpdesk
Paste an API key and pick the views you want watched. It takes about five minutes and nothing changes for your agents on day one.
It spots the duplicates
Every new ticket is checked against the open queue: same requester, similar subject, matching content, inside a time window you set. You decide how strict that is.
It merges them for you
The duplicate is merged into the original through your helpdesk own API, with a note on the thread explaining what happened. History, attachments and the audit trail stay intact.
What you get
Built for support leads who want fewer tickets, not another dashboard to check.
Real-time duplicate detection
Every new ticket is compared against your open queue the moment it lands, not in an overnight batch.
Rules you actually control
Match on requester, subject, body similarity and time window. Exclude the groups, forms and tags you want left alone.
Native merges
Merging happens through your helpdesk own API, so history, attachments, permissions and the audit trail survive intact.
Agent notes on every merge
The thread records what was merged and why, so nobody has to guess what happened to ticket 41822.
Suggest-only mode
Not ready to let software touch your queue? Run in suggest mode and let agents approve each merge until you trust it.
Honest reporting
See how many duplicates you actually get, which channels cause them, and what they were costing you.
Works where your tickets already live
Native integrations, no middleware sitting between you and your customer data.

Frequently asked questions
Does merging in your helpdesk lose the customer replies?+
No. Ticket Merger uses the native your helpdesk merge, so the conversation, attachments and audit history move onto the surviving ticket. The duplicate is closed with a note pointing at the original.
Can I review merges before they happen?+
Yes. Start in suggest-only mode: Ticket Merger flags the pairs it believes are duplicates and leaves the decision to an agent. Most teams run that way for a week, check the hit rate, then let the confident matches merge on their own.
What stops it merging two tickets that are not the same?+
Rules you set. Match on requester, subject similarity, body similarity and a time window, and exclude anything you want left alone, like tickets from a specific form, group or tag. Anything below your confidence threshold gets suggested rather than merged.
How long does setup take?+
About five minutes to connect, and the first scan of your open queue runs immediately after. Onboarding help is included on every plan.
Which helpdesks do you support?+
Zendesk Support and Suite, Freshdesk, Freshservice and HubSpot Service Hub. If you use something else, tell us and we will let you know where it sits on the roadmap.
What does it cost?+
It starts at $29/month for 10,000 tickets and it is priced on ticket volume, not per agent. Full detail on the pricing page.
